I'm using one for over a year now and it is one of the brightest lights I own. It is high quality light and I recommend it to everybody. This light is not going to disappoint you. Believe me, I'm a flashlight/ spotlight , ad headlight collector. I have the best lights in the world.

Since its introduction in 2017, I contemplated adding an X80 to my collection and finally took advantage of Acebeam's 2021 Black Friday promotion. In perusing various online reviews and photographs, I couldn’t help but notice the Gatling gun-like arrangement of 12 Cree XHP 50.2's surrounding a jewel-like cluster of Cree Red, Green, Blue & Nichia UV LEDs.  The flashlight’s face truly appeals to the inner kid in me.

The X80 is noticeably smaller than the photos led me to believe which made for a really pleasant surprise upon opening the package for the first time.  I have no trouble slipping the flashlight into the pocket of my winter coat. Now it’s actually quite hefty with the batteries installed belying of its modest dimensions but the X80 does impart a sense of solidity and I like the feel of it.  This is one well-built flashlight with Acebeam's characteristic high-quality milling and anodization.

The flashlight with its overall industrial good looks really does look like it means business - and capable of momentarily blasting a claimed 25,000 lumens turning night into day in an open field where I play frisbee with my dog. I really don't need to accurately point the flashlight and that's a refreshing contrast to thrower-type models I use in my collection. The colour and UV LEDs are fun to play with and are practical too.  For example, blue light makes an orange Chuckit ball or frisbee pop out in the dark.  In the event the RGB/UV LED feature isn’t of interest, you may wish to tickle your fancy with the X80-GT/GT2 variants and their claimed extra 7,500 and 9,000 lumens respectively over the X80.

The battery holder’s negative terminal contact springs are necessarily very strong making them hard to compress.  While I've read in forums about some difficulty inserting or removing the batteries, I very much prefer this setup than to deal with loose-fitting batteries.  You would work around this challenge by placing a wooden popsicle stick across the positive end of a battery while the negative end is already inserted against the spring.  With your thumbs bracing the bottom of the battery holder and placing your index fingers on each side of the popsicle stick, gently press down on the battery to compress the spring and slip in the battery in one smooth movement. The approach would be similar to taking the battery out.  Quite easy really and you would significantly reduce the risk of cosmetic damage to the battery and/or holder.

And don’t omit to purchase a battery charger in case you don’t have one capable of charging protected 18650 sized cells.

my first X80 RGB and it doesn't disappoint. for only one button it has a very well thought out and simple UI. I've never seen such a pure flood as this one, it lights up everything so evenly that it could be used in movie sets. the colored and uv leds are a lot of fun to play around with. flashlight itself is much smaller than I thought it would be and stuns everyone when entering turbo or turbo max. this is a light I will actually use everyday, thanks Illumn and thanks Acebeam.
